PHPChess For PC

PC-Client

phpChess is an open platform and one benefit of having a build in message framework is that any client can connect to the Server. But we wanted also to offer a full strength PC product that can stand on its own as an outstanding chess program/game. So while the web interface is nice and thin, for the full 3D view we went all out and offer state of the art visuals. The PC Client for phpChess also plays a mean game thanks to Crafty. It is fully adjustable so that even beginners have a chance to beat the program. With professional voice over from Marsha Crenshaw the game comes to live. Use it to play a game against the computer, connect directly to your friends for a peer to peer game or use the phpChess Server to play online. Everything is possible :)

This file must be downloaded and all files copied into the main directory of the installed phpChess for PC to make it work with 64bit

phpChess can be accessed from anywhere. Because phpChess has a simple url centric messaging framework it is simple to pass information from and to the server. One nice way of doing this is using the phpChess mobile application. It allows for games to be viewed, replayed and moves to be made. it is simple, java based and is a long proven way to play chess on your mobile. phpChess mobile does not play chess. It knows what a legal move is, but it does not have an AI engine (yet). Mobilechess.jad and Mobilechess.jar

The site has general news about chess in the county, information about the Oxfordshire Chess Association (OCA), and results from both the Oxford and District Chess League (ODCL) and the Oxfordshire Schools League.

To encourage the study and practice of chess in England and for the purpose of these objects England shall be deemed to include such part of North Wales as is within the jurisdiction of the Cheshire & North Wales Chess Association for so long as it shall so remain.

Welcome to the official Leeds Chess Club Website, we are a small and friendly chess club based near the centre of Leeds. We are currently looking for new members, if you are interested in joining us then everything you need to know can be found within these pages. We now have teams in both the Leeds League and Bradford League so we are now recruiting from the Bradford area as well! In the Leeds League we have an A-Team, a B-Team and 2 3-man rapidplay teams, in the Bradford League I have entered a strong 5-man team called Leeds 174 Insurgents.
